My First Facial at Signe Heindorf Clinique

This might sound strange coming from a beauty blogger, but up until last week, I have never had a professional facial. My first facial experience was at Signe Heindorf Clinique in Copenhagen. I had a Quick Fix Facial done that consists of a light peeling and a hydrating mask. We talked about my skin type and general skin issues. I have dry and dehydrated skin with some dark spots from breakouts. My skin has been acting up recently for no apparent reason. I have been waking up with whiteheads consistently, and I found out that this can also occur due to dryness and congestion. It’s actually really nice to get an in-depth analysis of your skin – and I have been switching to...

Current Beauty Faves

I feel like I haven’t done this type of post for a while now. “Favourites” are actually one of my favourite blog posts to read. It has been a busy start of the month for me work-wise, but I still seem to have acquired a lot of faves recently. There have also been a lot of beauty launches which always gets me buzzing! Urban Decay After Glow I have been on some sort of highlighter craze these past weeks. I think that Spring is the optimal time for highlighters, as I tend to focus more on my base and general “glowiness” Urban Decay just launched some gorgeous highlighters. The ones pictured are called Aura (the pink one) and Sin (the champagne one)....

Pretty Eyeshadows from The Body Shop

I had to show you these pretty palettes from The Body Shop. I tend to go for warm-toned eyeshadows, so the gold palette instantly drew me in. It has 4 very pretty shades – a rose gold, yellow gold, burnt plum and a purple mauve. They are buttery in texture and blend effortlessly. They aren’t extremely pigmented – perfect for everyday use. The packaging isn’t too great. It looks a bit cheapy for the price, but I can definitely live with that as the content is amazing. If you prefer cool tones, The Body Shop also has a silver palette with blue shades and a light, shimmery peach. 3-step simple eyeshadow look: I use medium shade in the palette, in...

My Sunday Skincare Ritual

I love Sundays because it’s actually my “get things done” and pamper day all in one. I have a long to-do list of boring chores like vacuuming and doing the washing. But by the end of the day, I like to have a little pamper session where I treat my skin. The first step is to deep cleanse. I use my Clarisonic Smart Profile – an awesome sonic cleansing tool that can be used with all the Clarisonic brush heads for the face, body and feet. I use it with a foaming face wash all over my face and down my neck. I really focus it around my nose and forehead. I usually use a more abrasive exfoliator during the...

Clinique Pop: New in Beauty

Clinique has added more Pop products to their collection. I previously made a post about the Pop Lipsticks which are really good. You can see swatches and read my review here. The new additions include Pop Lacquer – a glossy lip lacquer with amazing pigmentation, Lid Pop – the cutest eyeshadows ever in a very natural and sheer finish, and last but not least: Pop Glaze Sheer, as the name suggests, a sheer lip color with a moisturizing effect. I also tried out the Cheek Pops for the very first time. They have a gorgeous flower imprint, making me not want to use the product because it’s so darn pretty. The colors are on point – ranging from peaches to plums....

DAFNI Hair Straightening Brush

I have been meaning to do this review for a while, but I really wanted to see if I would implement this product in my everyday routine. You might have heard me say this before, but I have a pretty busy schedule. I like my beauty routine in the morning to be fast and efficient so I can get more z’s (aka sleep) I straigthen my hair multiple times a week which obviously takes a lot of my time, as I have thick and frizzy hair. The Dafni Brush has actually made my morning routine a lot faster. After a quick blow dry or air dry, I can straighten my hair in 10 minutes. All you curly-haired ladies know that 10 minutes...

Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

Imagine my excitement when I received this gorgeous palette from the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani collab. I like Gwen’s edgy style and classic beauty, so I was quite curious to see what that entailed in regards to this collection. First of all, I have to give it up to the gorgeous color range in the blush palette. There are 6 shades. You have your neutrals, your peaches and your pinky plums. It even has a nice warm toned highlighter. The powders are soft and blend-able, as I expected them to be. The blushes are not too pigmented which I like. There’s nothing worse than accidentally applying way to much blush. The longevity is actually pretty decent. The color will last for about 6...

Lancome Juicy Shaker

Are you into smooth, glossy and sheer lip products? If the answer is yes, then keep on reading. Lancome has recently launched a new range of tinted lip oils, inspired by their 1945 ‘Cocktail Shaker” shaped lipstick and the 90’s Juicy Tubes. You actually have to shake the tube before application to mix the oil and pigment. Application is quite fun, as you have to tap the dome-shaped sponge on your lips, giving them a little massage. The texture is very light and slippery, but surprisingly pigmented, considering it’s an oil-based product. This is the perfect everyday lippie when you just need a wash of color. Lisa Eldridge actually explains it quite well in the video below.

Copper shades & Feline Eye Liner

I’ve been dying to try Huda Beauty lashes and the Desio contact lenses in Caramel Brown. I finally got my hands on the goodies and I’m not disappointed at all. It’s been a long time full-on makeup looks and I’m exited to be starting again. I kinda created this look on a whim! As the contact lenses are light brown, I decided to go for the a copper which I actually think suit most eye colors. To make the eye color stand out even more, I rimmed my eyes with black liner and created a feline flick. Products I used for this look: Huda Beauty lashes – Giselle Desio Lens in Caramel Brown NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm...

Valentine’s Day Prep

The day has finally come. Some despise it, some can’t get enough of the lovey-dovey cheesiness that is Valentine’s Day. Truth be told, I’m a silly romantic at heart. I quite like flowers, chocolates, cards and candlelit dinners. But I kinda want that all year round, so I treat this day like any other date night. So let’s just call this post: My Date Night Essentials. For that beaming glowy skin, I substitute my ordinary moisturizer with my Avene Soothing Moisture Mask. I just apply a tiny amount on my skin and massage it in. Obviously soft lips is a must, not just on V-day, but any other day… Once again Avene comes to the rescue with Sensitive Lips Lip...

The Perfect Multi-Use Lip Product

I go through phases of loving to wear bold lipsticks and just wanting a natural tint on my lips. Right now, I enjoy a natural, matte tint. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm gives you very different finishes just by changing the way you use the product. For a bold lip look with intense color pigmentation, just apply two layers. Remember to exfoliate and apply lip balm before applying these, or they will cling to everything! If you want a more natural tint, just dot the stick on the lips and blend with your fingers until the desired finish and pigmentation is achieved. You can even use these as blushes, but you do need to blend very fast! I’m wearing the shade Showy in the...

The foundation that slays on EVERY level!

In my previous post you heard me rave about the Nars All Day Luminous Foundation, and the raving will continue now. I figured that I owe you a full review as it IS my favourite foundation to date. And yes I’m wearing it in the picture. No base, no concealer, no powder – only the foundation, so you can see the real finish. Texture & Finish It’s an oil-free formulation with an ultra-light, watery texture that gives you a full coverage finish, but somehow still looks really natural when you blend well. A single pump is enough for a full face of foundation. The lightweight texture is AMAZING! It blends so well with the skin, and be noted that I actually have...
